Having a well behaved dog is always a pleasure. Unfortunately puppies don’t come pre-programmed and it takes a lot more patience and repetition than many new owners realise to guide them along the way.
Taking part in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme’s Puppy Foundation, using kind and motivational methods, will give your puppy the very best start. Of course for those wishing to continue training there is always the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels of the GCDS scheme to aim for.
After basic training then you can think about all those other activities available to you, i.e. flyball, agility, gundog training, heelwork to music, rally obedience, working trials, hoopers – there are so many things you can do with your dogs!
